After losing two of three games in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the VCU men’s basketball team used a pair of victories against Northeastern University and Belmont University on Nov. 29 and Dec. 1 respectively to get back on track.
With black and gold pom-poms in hand, VCU’s Gold Rush Dancers take the court at halftime of each home game with a burst of energy that further excites the already-rowdy crowd.
The VCU women’s basketball team is projected to finish in seventh place in the Atlantic-10, according to the official preseason poll that was announced at A-10 women’s basketball media day at the Richmond Coliseum on Oct. 22.
College basketball fans from around the country will see a lot more of the VCU men’s basketball team and its “Havoc” style of play in 2013.
