ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Rams wrapped up the Michigan Tournament Sunday night with a second loss to
the Wolverines.
In the 38th minute of play, Perica Marosevic scored the only point to be put on the board that night when Jake Stacy assisted his shot from 25 yards out.

Michigan doubled VCU’s shots 13-6 with shots on goal.
VCU outnumbered Michigan in fouls 23-18.
Andrew Dykstra (Woodbridge/Osbourn Park HS) helped keep scores low, saving four of Michigan’s five shots-on-goal.
Women’s soccer
RICHMOND, Va. – VCU took on the La Salle Explorers for a 2-0 win Sunday night. Hayley Moorwood (Auckland, New Zealand) converted Stephanie Power’s (Darmouth, Nova Scotia) assist from 15 yards out in the 19th minute of the game to score the Rams’ first point.
For VCU’s second point, Donna Morwarin (Deventer, Netherlands) got the ball to Francesca Gioeli (New York City, N.Y.) in the 32nd minute of play for a shot by the right post from 15 yards out.
VCU took more shots, 24-13, and made three times the amount of shots-on-goal as La Salle, 13-4.
La Salle made 13 fouls against VCU’s nine.
Volleyball
ATLANTA, Ga. – VCU devastated Georgia State University (30-20, 30-27, 30-16) in their second win to defend the Rams’ title as CAA champions.
The Rams’ trio comprised of Ludmila Francescatto (Fraiburga, Brazil), Ana Luiza de Borja (Florianopolis, Brazil), and Elisa Kuehnel (Dresden, Germany) worked together on offense to shut out the Panthers.
Francescatto and de Borja each contributed 13 kills and Kuehnel had seven kills. Renata Salvatori (Londrina, Brazil) gave the Rams eight kills and three blocks. Amy Lusk gave 10 kills and 11 digs for GSU.
