Men’s Tennis wins ninth straight, 7-0

VCU Men’s Tennis have won their ninth straight match and 25th straight victory at home. The No. 13 team beat the University of Colorado, 7-0 on Tuesday.

No. 1 doubles pair Florian Marquardt and Pedro Nieto had an 8-3 win against Justin Hunter and Chad Tsuda from Colorado.

No. 1 doubles pair Florian Marquardt and Pedro Nieto had an 8-3 win against Justin Hunter and Chad Tsuda from Colorado.

No. 3 VCU pair Daniel Casquero and Francesc Lleal also turned in an 8-3 victory against their opponents.

For the second time in a row, VCU had no lost sets in singles. Marquardt went 2-0, with a 6-3, 6-0 win against Colorado’s Marko Bundalo.

Nieto had a 6-2, 6-0 win at the Rams’ No. 1 spot against Maciej Dilaj. Casquero wrapped it up for VCU with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 4 position against Bucky Mink.

VCU is now 18-3 for this season. Colorado fell to 2-11. The Rams will face No. 34 William & Mary next, April 2, in Williamsburg.
