After shooting 55 percent from the floor, VCU men’s basketball defeated Illinois State University 96-58 in the season-opener at the Siegel Center on Friday night.
Since its historic run to the Final Four in 2010-11, the VCU men’s basketball team has jumped conferences and continued winning.
The men’s basketball season does not open until November, but VCU fans can get an early look at the team on Oct. 13.
