The fourth-annual InLight Richmond festival, organized by 1708 Gallery, showcased light-based sculptures on the riverfront this past Friday.
According to 1708 Gallery’s website, the exhibit is meant to “present a mix of visual, performance and interactive art installed along the river and beach, sidewalks, historic buildings, walls and the surrounding grounds, train trestles, pedestrian bridges and more.”
The evening began with community parade of lights. The parade traveled around Tredegar Iron Works and alongside the James River and left attendants surrounded by 18 installations of abstract art.
