Player of the week:
ODU junior Josh Wright:
Wright hit three home runs to lead the Monarchs to the series win against VCU last weekend. ODU won two out of three games behind the junior’s smoking-hot .385 batting average that included seven runs batted in.
Pitcher of the week:
William & Mary senior Logan Billbrough
The Tribe senior extended his scoreless innings streak to 20 during his four-hit, seven inning shift in William & Mary’s 12-1 win over ninth-placed Hofstra Pride.
Rookie of the week:
Towson second baseman Pat Fitzgerald
Tiger freshman Pat Fitzgerald helped lead Towson to a 4-0 week last week including a three-game sweep of Northeastern. The second baseman hit .375 and scored five runs in the four different matches.
Delaware infielder E.J. Stoltzfus
Blue Hens infielder E.J. Stotzfus hit a ridiculous .500 from behind the plate last week to assure himself a Rookie of the Week awarding. His efforts helped Delaware take two games out of three from Georgia State.
Note:
Delaware, with a current record of 10-15, is off to their best start in school history.
