Busking for ART 180 with Erin Frye & Basil Frye.  Richmond brother and sister duo Erin Frye and Basil Frye will be performing their sweet melodies at Plant Zero Café’s 4th Fridays celebration. Salt N Pepa’s Legends of Hip Hop Tour Richmond gets a taste of the old school when platinum selling, Grammy Award-winning Salt N Pepa comes to town. Following their comeback reality show on VH1, the first ladies of hip-hop are cued up to headline their Salt N Pepa’s Legends of Hip-Hop Tour, reuniting some of the biggest names in the genre from the 80s and 90s for a jam-packed performance of the decades’ biggest hits. Wizard of Oz This magical production, based on the Royal Shakespeare Company’s celebration of the 1939 MGM movie, is presented with breathtaking special effects that will sweep audiences away from the moment the tornado twists its way into Kansas.  8 p.m. $40 – $62.50.  Landmark Theatre. 6 N. Purple Day An event that raises money for the Anita Kaufmann Foundation in assocition with the Purple Day Foundation for Epilepsy. The goal of this journey, which started the Purple Movement, is to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy, erase the stigma and discrimination surrounding epilepsy and its causes, to encourage those suffering from this illness to seek treatment, and to show support for the families and friends of the 3 million Americans who suffer from epilepsy and the 50 million people worldwide who suffer from epilepsy each year.  Bands featured will be: DJ Williams Projekt, So Ha, Sleaze, Black Liquid, and more. 8 p.m. Tickets TBA. SUNDAY 3/27

The Vagina Monologues A reception will be held before each show, beginning at 6:45 p.m. There will be lovely musical guests and artists from the Richmond area joining us during the reception, including Lydia Ooghe, Alison Self and The Bird and Her Consort. The reception will also include food donated by local restaurants. The reception is included in the “suggested donation” price of $20. Tickets are available at the door only, and all proceeds go to benefit RAINN (Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network) and to V-Day’s Spotlight Women in Haiti. The performance features monologues performed by women from around the Greater Richmond Area. Firehouse Theatre Project’s presentation of The Vagina Monologues is a local effort within the worldwide context of the 2011 V-Day Campaign. 8 p.m. Suggested donation $20.
