SPORTS: VCU MBB at ODU halftime update

NORFOLK- It’s halftime at the Ted Constant Convocation Center at ODU, with the Monarchs leading 39-35.
VCU held a 33-29 lead with four minutes remaining before ODU closed the half on a 10-2 run to take the lead into the locker room.
ODU was lead by Frank Hassell (13) and Gerald Lee (12). The duo combined for 25 of the Monarchs’ 39 points.
ODU also out-rebounded the Rams 20-9, including right offensive boards.
VCU was led by Brandon Rozzell (Richmond/Highland Springs) with seven and Ed Nixon (St. Petersburg/Lakewood) with six.
Both Jaime Skeen (Charlotte, NC/Wake Forest University) and Larry Sanders (Fort Pierce, Fla./Port St. Lucie) spent most of the half on the bench, each saddled with two fouls apiece.
