It seems as if the last year has been plagued by athletes doing stupid things and risking their careers. First, former Atlanta Falcons and current Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick spent nearly two years in jail for dog fighting.

Then, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth hit a man while he was drunk and was recently suspended for some of the upcoming season by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

And finally, former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and agreed to spend at least 20 months in prison. I hope other athletes were paying attention while these cases were going on.
