MEN’S BASKETBALL
Sophomore point guard Joey Rodriguez (Oviedo, Fla./Lake Howell) announced Tuesday that he will transfer from VCU. The 5-foot-10 inch guard started in 49 games for the Rams in two seasons. The Orlando Sentinel is reporting Rodriguez is transferring to Rollins College in Winter Park, Fl.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting Rodriguez is transferring to Rollins College in Winter Park, Fl. He averaged 7.9 points per game to go along with 109 steals. Rodriguez is the third player recruited by Anthony Grant who has left school (Lance Kearse, Myk Brown).
MEN’S TENNIS
Received the No. 2 seed in this year’s CAA tournament in Norfolk, they also receive a first-round bye and will play the winner of the Georgia State vs. George Mason match on Friday at 2 p.m. The Rams (16-8) are looking to repeat as champions after knocking off William and Mary in last year’s final, 4-1.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Also received the No. 2 seed in the CAA tournament and will play the winner of the Drexel/Hofstra match on Friday in Norfolk. The Rams last won the tournament in 2003.
GOLF
Won the team title at the Palisades Collegiate Classic in Charlotte, N.C. With a team score of 28-under par. Junior Vincent Nadeau (Penhook/Purdue University) finished second in the individual standings with a 14-under 202. Junior Rafael Campos (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Baldwin School of PR) finished tied for fourth with a 7-under 209. The CAA tournament in Pine Mountain, Ga. is up next for the Rams on April 17-19.
MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
Sophomore Antonio Norvell (Portsmouth/I.C. Norcom) was named CAA Track Athlete of the Week. Norvell posted four top-eight finishes at the Lou Onesty/Abramson Invitational, hosted by the University of Virginia over the weekend.
