In response to shortages at the Central Virginia Food Bank, VCU is launching a food drive to support Meals on Wheels, the Central Virginia Food Bank and the Community Kitchen programs. The drive will run from Tuesday to Thursday, with multiple locations across the Monroe Park and MCV campuses.

In response to shortages at the Central Virginia Food Bank, VCU is launching a food drive to support Meals on Wheels, the Central Virginia Food Bank and the Community Kitchen programs. The drive will run from Tuesday to Thursday, with multiple locations across the Monroe Park and MCV campuses.

Donors will be greeted by VCU mascot Rodney the Ram at the drop-off locations on West Broad and Harrison streets Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Items in highest demand are canned meats, fish, vegetables and fruits, peanut butter, spaghetti sauce, pasta and rice. Monetary donations will also be collected.

Drive-through drop off locations will be available near the intersection of Cary and Belvidere streets and West Broad and Harrison Streets.

Drop off sites on the Monroe Park Campus will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:

West Broad Street Parking Deck

Cary Street Parking Deck

West Main Street Parking Deck

Commons Convenience (in the University

Harris Hall Convenience Store

Cary Street Market & Deli

Shafer Court Dining Center

Drop off locations and times for the MCV campus are as follows:

N Parking Deck (7 a.m.-10 a.m.)

A, C, and I Parking Lots (7 a.m.-10 a.m.)

D Parking Deck (6:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.-4 p.m.)

8th Street Parking Deck (7 a.m.-7 p.m.)

Main Hospital (7 a.m.-7 p.m.)
