BASEBALL
The CAA named senior Justin Wright (Yorktown/Grafton) the Co-Player of the Week. Wright helped defeat VMI and sweep Hofstra last week. He batted .462, hit two homeruns, scored seven runs and had 11 RBIs.

Finished 14th at the Administaff ASU Invitational this past weekend.

GOLF
Finished 14th at the Administaff ASU Invitational this past weekend. The Rams shot 10-over, 874 for the tournament. Junior Lanto Griffin (Blacksburg/Blacksburg) posted the best score for the Rams, shooting a 3-under, 213, which was good for 26th place.
MEN’S TENNIS
Defeated South Florida, 4-3, this past Sunday. Sophomore Bobo Delemark (Danderyd, Sweden), junior Thibaut Charron (Sens, France) and seniors Martin Schulhauser (Karvina, Czech Republic) and Emil Lindgren (Stocksund, Sweden) won their singles matches. The victory improved the Rams record to 14-8.
MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
Competed at the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg. Sophomore Brian Wallace (Portsmouth/I.C. Norcom) won the triple jump with a jump of 7.22 meters. Sophomore Joe Edwards (Newport News/Denbigh) set a personal best in the triple jump with a jump of 13.14 meters.
WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
Competed at the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg. Senior Verniece Johnson (Mineral/Louisa) won the long jump with a jump of 6.02 meters. Johnson also teamed with sophomores Quina Fortune (New Orleans/St. Mary’s Academy) and Kyana Hill (Richmond/Hermitage) and junior Whitney Key (Goochland/Goochland) to finish second in the 4×100-meter race with a time of 47.55. Johnson, Fortune and freshmen Rachel Montague (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) and Jazlynn Finney (Leesburg/Heritage) finished third in the 4×200-meter race with a time of 1:40.38, a school record. Johnson’s success at the Colonial Relays earned her the honor of CAA Co-Field Athlete of the Week.
