VCU finds Grant’s successor
VCU will name former University of Florida assistant Shaka Smart as the new men’s basketball head coach. A press conference has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stuart C. Siegel Center and is free to the public.
Smart played college basketball at Kenyon College.
VCU will name former University of Florida assistant Shaka Smart as the new men’s basketball head coach. A press conference has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stuart C. Siegel Center and is free to the public.
Smart played college basketball at Kenyon College. He then became an associate coach with the Akron Zips for three years. Smart served as an assistant coach for the Clemson Tigers in 2006 before becoming an assistant coach at Florida in 2008. More details will be in Monday’s edition of The Commonwealth Times.
