President Obama backs Rams

VCU received another high profile endorsement this week from President Barack Obama. Obama, an avid basketball fan, gave his predictions for this year’s NCAA tournament Wednesday in a column on ESPN.com by Andy Katz. Obama picked VCU to upset UCLA in the first round.

“VCU, I think, has been playing strong, and I hate to say this, because my brother-in-law (Oregon State coach Craig Robinson) is in the Pac-10 right now, but the Pac-10 has been looking pretty weak this year. I like that as an upset.”

In the second round though, Obama picked Villanova to beat VCU.
