WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
After crushing the Tribe of William and Mary 72-52 in the first round of the CAA tournament, the Rams lost to third-seeded James Madison 65-57 on Saturday at the Convocation Center in Harrisonburg. Quanitra Hollingsworth (Chesapeake/Great Bridge) scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the loss. Now the Rams, who finish the year 26-6, hope for an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament. If they do get a bid, it would be their first trip to the big dance in the program’s history.
