WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The Rams closed out their season with a 56-39 thrashing of Georgia State in Atlanta. Quanitra Hollingsworth (Chesapeake/Great Bridge) led all scorers with 23 points and 12 rebounds, good for her 16th double-double of the season.

MEN’S TENNIS
The Rams swept Winthrop this past Sunday, 5-0. VCU won every match. Junior Thibaut Charron (Sens, France) and freshman Nicolas Vinel (Metz, France) won their 14th and 16th matches, respectively. The win improved the Rams’ record to 10-4.
The Rams return to action March 19 at the Blue Gray National Invitational.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
The fifth annual “Make It Happen” 5K run is scheduled for April 19 at noon at Byrd Park. The run is in memory for former Ram, Nicole Megaloudis, who was killed in an auto accident in 2004.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
The Rams defeated Winthrop in a weather-shortened match this past Sunday, 5-0. Sophomore Laura Burns (Hertford, England) won her 14th match of the season. Freshman Ana Bara (Oradea, Romania), sophomore Kateryna Yergina (Kiev, Ukraine) and junior Olena Leonchuk (Kiev, Ukraine) won singles matches. VCU won the doubles matches by default.
The Rams improve to 10-5 this season and host Marshall at the Thalhimer Tennis Center Friday.
