Freshman Ronnie Black (Newport News/Menchville) won the high jump with two other competitors with a jump of six feet, six inches. Three runners set personal bests. Freshman Tyler Simmons (Woodbridge/Osbourn Park) ran a 2:29.

Freshman Tyler Simmons (Woodbridge/Osbourn Park) ran a 2:29.27 in the 1,000 meters. Junior Piotr Dybas (Jaslo, Poland) and sophomore John Vial (Glen Allen/Hermitage) ran 8:24.50 and 8:43.32, respectively, in the 3,000 meters.
