Just when you thought that maybe, just maybe, I was done making lists about absolutely random things, there’s more.
1. It’s bad luck for VCU men’s basketball to wear the
gold jerseys. Very bad luck. We lost to Old Dominion University in gold last year and Tuesday night we lost to Northeastern University.
Police chief charged with four felonies
A pre-trial for VCU chief of police William B. Fuller took place Thursday afternoon at Chesterfield Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. Fuller could only shake his head as Judge Robbins announced Fuller’s four felony charges, including lascivious intent and use of a communication system to solicit sex from a minor under the age of 15.
Business, engineering alumni get new recruiting Web site
The Business and Engineering Career Center has created an online résumé database for all Business and Engineering alumni. The Web site only has been in operation since Jan. 23.
Designed by Spinnaker Edge consulting, the site offers alumni a place to post their résumés and employers a place to find qualified alumni for job openings.

Q: What was the goal of this project?
A: To create a faster flow. The old doors were forcing students to move through single file; this was not efficient.
Coping with cash crunch on campus
Current economic troubles have forced many businesses to cut part-time employee hours or reduce their staff. Many students living with smaller paychecks (or with none at all) have turned to university services to help with job searches.
In order to help students find part-time jobs to fit their schedules, the University Career Center holds career fairs to engage students in finding a career of their interest.
Vigil held after panel OKs gun-show bill
A Virginia Senate panel approved a bill Monday to require criminal background checks on people who buy weapons at gun shows.
After this victory for gun-control supporters, about 30 people held a vigil outside the Capitol to commemorate youths killed by gunfire.

Earlier this week, a deal between Michael Vick and the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals fell through. The deal called for Vick to do a public service announcement warning people against dog fighting. The deal fell through when Vick and his representatives asked PETA to not stand in his way if he got a chance to return to the NFL.
