SGA failed students
The actions of the SGA are inexcusable.
I cannot believe that weeks after student leaders saw fit to disqualify two candidates in a Homecoming election, the SGA thought it was OK to allow Jessica Lee and her companions to keep their positions, only asking for an apology for their acknowledged misdeeds.

People, Lee is supposed to apologize for breaking rules in this election as punishment for her actions. She has gone on record for breaking some of those rules. She even misrepresented her actions to the SGA.
Lee said ‘she wasn’t aware’ she was breaking rules when it came to campaigning in and around the library. That’s quite a stretch, figuring that Lee was in SGA prior to that. I see two possibilities here. One is that Lee and her crew knowingly broke the rules; the other possibility is that she didn’t know the SGA rules, making her, by default, a bad choice for president, because she didn’t even take the time to know the rules passed by the organization of which she is a member. Either way, we’re being let down.
This is weak. The SGA has proven unworthy of its name. I propose renaming it the SGC: Student Government Club. That’s what it is. No matter what the circumstances are, you still win in the end, as long as you have some friends willing not to do what they were supposed to.
You should be angry about this. There was no justice at all in this year’s election, people.
Don’t take it lying down.
