This past weekend’s scheduled series with Longwood was cancelled due to weather. Temperatures in Richmond dropped as low as single digits last week, making conditions tough for play. Make up games have yet to be scheduled but are likely due to the proximity of the two schools.

MEN’S TENNIS
The Rams finished the weekend at 26th -ranked Wake Forest 1-1, defeating the hosts 4-3 on Friday and falling to No. 31 Minnesota on Saturday. VCU took home 2 of 3 doubles matches against the Demon Deacons and 3 of 6 singles matches. Against the Gophers, VCU won only 1 of 3 doubles matches, and 1 of 6 singles matches. The lone singles victory was earned by Georges-Alexandre Israel (Marseille, France), who defeated Dino Bilankov 6-0 6-2.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
The 12th-ranked Rams fell to No. 14 Clemson 5-2 on Saturday. Marianna Yuferova (St. Petersburg, Russia) teamed with Olga Borisova (Minsk, Belarus) for the lone doubles victory. Yuferova and Vera Petrashevitch (St. Petersburg, Russia) also took home singles victories.
