Rams bounce back with victory over Drexel
Kita Waller hit two free throws with 15 seconds left in the game to give the Rams the lead for good in a 53-50 win over Drexel in Philadelphia Sunday.

Waller led the Rams with 15 points while Drexel’s Gabriela Marginean scored a game-high 20 points.
Up by six at the half, the Rams VCU lost the lead with 15:55 left in the second half. After that point, there were five lead changes and two ties, with the Rams coming out victorious in the end.

The victory came despite an extremely poor shooting performance in the second half. After shooting 52.2 percent in the first half, VCU shot a mere 21.7 percent in the second half and 37 percent for the game.
With the win, VCU moves to 12-11 overall and 5-8 in the CAA, which is good enough for eighth place.
VCU is back in action on Thursday night at home against William & Mary.
