“Tony vs. Paul” is YouTube’s latest stop-motion masterpiece, boasting a sweet kung-fu fight scene reminiscent of “The Matrix” between its two heroes, as well as some similarly sweet comic touches. Shirtless, pony-tailed dudes are always a comic plus.

Clocking in at more than five minutes, this sucker must have taken forever to make, and I have respect for its homemade feel and attention to detail. Although the plot is not high-caliber, Tony’s mean note, written and delivered telepathically to Paul, instigates the crazy fight and adds to the fun. Besides, who can disrespect something so technically sophisticated from a couple of bored guys?

As much as an onslaught of mediocre copycats are sure to emerge in coming weeks, shirtless men aside, “Tony vs. Paul” stands tall as one of the best techno-fueled, stop-motion, kung-fu films on the Web.

Looking for an entertaining video on YouTube can be like searching for a needle in a haystack. With users uploading at least 65,000 new videos a day, it’s hard to know what to look for and where to find it. That’s why the CT has created The CTube. Issue to issue, we’ll weed through all the good, bad and ugly that YouTube has to offer to find what we think, at the least, will hold your attention. No need to spend more time than necessary on YouTube when Facebook already consumes half of your day, right?
