The VCU Police Department reports that more than 1,130 users so far have downloaded the new LiveSafe security app since its launch on Aug. 16. The app allows users to send pictures and videos, text a tip or make a phone call to VCUPD.
University officials and police department representatives discussed student perception and involvement in crime prevention during a safety town hall forum on Wednesday night.
“Prospective students and parents always ask me the same question: Do I feel safe at VCU?”
VCU students made campus safety an explicit priority at their “Rams Day on the Hill.”
