Persistence: The Saga of Women’s Suffrage

Maymont is hosting an event to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave white women the right to vote. The celebration will include the “Mrs. Dooley” controversy, the struggles of black women during the time and the overall history of the women’s suffrage movement.
