Monument Avenue received its annual festive makeover this past Sunday with the Easter on Parade event sponsored by Kroger and produced by Venture Richmond.

Each year, the event draws about 25,000 people to the four blocks between Allen and Davis avenues of Monument Avenue to celebrate spring while providing food, arts, vendors and activities like a petting zoo. The parade provided children’s activities as well, like an Easter Bunny for pictures, circus-like performers (like a stilt-walker and Peggy the Clown) and a balloon artist.

The event hosted the yearly Pet and People Bonnet showcases and also provided live entertainment with artists performing on stages that were set up throughout the four blocks.
