CAA volleyball report

Co-Offensive Player of the Week:
Britney Brown, Senior, Setter/Opposite Hitter, Northeastern
– Brown helped the Huskies to two conference wins over the course of the week, tallying 20 assists, 14 kills, and eight digs in Northeastern’s 3-1 win over VCU Friday along with recording 19 kills, 17 assists, and 9 digs the next day in a iwn over William & Mary.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week:
Jess Chason, Senior, Setter, Delaware
– Chason handed out 33 assists in the Delaware’s 3-0 sweep of James Madison along with 49 assists and 21 digs in the Blue Hens’ 3-2 win over George Mason.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Kelsie Clegg, Senior, Middle Blocker, VCU
– Clegg became the first player in program history to record 400 blocks after contributing seven blocks in the Rams’ 3-1 loss to Northeastern Friday.

Rookie of the Week:
Lana Zonjic, Freshman, Outside Hitter, George Mason
– Zonjic posted 21 digs and 14 kills to help the Patriots past Towson 3-2 Friday along with recording 13 kills and 12 digs in Mason’s win over Delaware the next day.

– Delaware remains the lone team in the league with an 11-0 perfect record at home. James Madison also has 11 home wins but has suffered one loss on its home-court.

– Following Hofstra’s win over Siena last wee the league’s overall non-conference record stands at 77-73 (.513).
