After an intense week of campaigning for the Student Government Association presidential nominees, WVCW announced the presumptive SGA president-elect to be Gabriel Walker, with Vice President Roberto Celis and Executive Director Bhumi Dave.

After an intense week of campaigning for the Student Government Association presidential nominees, WVCW announced the presumptive SGA president-elect to be Gabriel Walker, with Vice President Roberto Celis and Executive Director Bhumi Dave.

The Walker-Celis campaign won with 1395 votes. The Lynch-Goldshine campaign followed with 766 votes.

The Ronk-Mace campaign had 574 votes. Lastly, the Robertson-Meeks campaign had 314 votes.
The number of students that voted was 2,612, or 8.5 percent of the 30,661 students at VCU. All enrolled students were eligible to vote.

The results remain unofficial until judicial approval.

Aside from the presidential ticket, 73.5 percent also voted in favor of the proposed constitution and bylaws. The new constitution will go into affect next semester.

According to Kanwar Anand, elections committee chair, students have until Wednesday to file any grievances about the results.

The official results are expected to be posted on the SGA website before noon on March 30. Grievances can be posted at elections@vcusga.com.
