BASEBALL Head coach Paul Keyes received good news during the NCAA early signing period, as five players inked with the Rams. Four of the five hail from the Richmond metro area while one is from Northern Virginia. The local players are: Brent Mikionis, a middle infielder from Powhatan High School; Joshua Alford, a pitcher and shortstop from Trinity Episcopal; Seth Cutler-Voltz, a right-handed pitcher from Henrico; and Taylor Perkins, a pitcher and infielder from Dinwiddie.

Remembering Sean Taylor

Pedro Taylor stood outside his Miami- Dade County home and spoke of the person who killed his son, Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor. “I think one day he’ll come to grips with himself and say, ‘You know what, it was senseless’ and he’ll turn himself in,” said Taylor’s father, the Florida City police chief.
