Not a ‘Date Movie’
Parodies are supposed to be funny, right?
“Date Movie” must not have subjected itself to this standard.
This sophomoric, crude excuse for humor is one of the most putrid and agonizing pieces of film one may ever experience.
In short, it wasn’t very good.

Alyson Hannigan (American Pie Series) plays a lonely girl, Julia Jones, searching for her prince charming. When she finds Greg Funkyerdoder, played by Adam Campbell, she knows she’s found the right man.
However, with clashes between their families and an ex-girlfriend, Sophie Monk, it seems their love can never be.
The cast was sub-par at best. It can only be assumed that the actors in this movie really needed work. Has anyone seen ‘the flute girl’ from “American Pie” in any movies recently? And who is Adam Campbell anyway?
The leads are either just getting into the business or television actors who probably thought it would be fun to do a feature film. They just picked the wrong one.
The plot was not well thought out, and the attempts at parody were just sad. Almost every film made fun of was warped by directors, Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg into something nearly unrecognizable.
Keep in mind that these two also directed the “Scary Movie” series. If you did not like those films, you definitely won’t like this one.
