The reason why an odd number of matches are played in tennis was clear when Virginia Commonwealth University took on No. 4 Duke Wednesday at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.
No. 21 Arnaud Lecloerec (Plouhinec, France) took down the Blue Devil’s top player and the nation’s fourth-ranked Ludovic Walter 6-7, 6-3, 7-6, finishing off a Rams rally and sealing a 4-3 victory.
