VCU defeats Georgia State in overtime
ATLANTA – Senior forward Nick George (Manchester, England) scored 23 of his game-high 34 points in the second half and overtime as VCU rallied to defeat Georgia State Saturday.
With the Panthers leading late in the fourth quarter and time slipping off the clock, the Rams gained possession of the ball and needed a 3-pointer to force overtime.

Men’s tennis falls to top-ranked Cavs
CHARLOTTESVILLE – The 33rd-ranked VCU men’s tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision Wednesday to Virginia, the No. 1-ranked team nationally.
The Cavaliers opened the match by sweeping the doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage.

VCU women perfect at home in 4×1 Invitational
Similar to the tennis balls passing over the net, six teams saw the chance of raising their own ranking by upsetting 49th-ranked Virginia Commonwealth University pass them by.
The women’s tennis team hosted the nine-team tournament, 4×1 Invitational at the Thalhimer Tennis Center, where they dominated the competition.
