Engineering student dies in Iraq ambush

uring an ambush Wednesday. Lance Cpl. Karl Linn and his Marine platoon were in Iraq’s Anbar province when the ambush killed Linn and three others in his company. Four others were injured according to an Associated Press article.

VCU President Eugene P. Trani released a statement last Friday to inform the VCU community of the loss and to express sympathy to Linn’s family.

VCU’s James Branch Cabell Library has a history as rich and diverse as the city of Richmond itself.

The library reserves a section on the fourth floor for special historical artifacts and documents that can be observed or used by students.

This section, known as the Special Collections and Archives, features the best of the 20th century as it pertains to the university and to Central Virginia.
