Final weekend full of incentives for the Rams

The VCU women’s soccer team still has a chance to clinch the top seed in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament if it wins both of its home games this weekend. Two wins could secure first place in the conference going into the tournament and give the Rams home-field advantage throughout the tournament.

The team will host Old Dominion (4-2-1 CAA, 8-6-2) at SportsBackers Stadium on Thursday, then William & Mary (4-1-2, 8-4-4) on Saturday for Senior Day. The games will be streamed live via the Internet to VCU’s Web site. Any way you can support the team makes a difference.

The last time the Rams lost at home was early October of last year, and heading into the weekend co-head coach Denise Schilte-Brown said, “The team’s confidence isn’t wavering going into this weekend. I feel very confident at home.
