While you were out

‘Six Feet Under’ Lisa visits Brenda at her massage parlor, although Brenda doesn’t know that Lisa is Nate’s wife. They get along fairly well and it seems like these two could possibly be seen together in future episodes. Meanwhile Keith takes David out and they compete against each other in a gay paintball game.

Senior organized art show is a success

As the year comes to a close and graduation nears, each department is giving their most talented seniors a chance to shine. “Interaction 22” was one of the art department’s programs to do just that.

A group of senior art majors have done the work, set up the exhibit, and promoted “Interaction 22.

What are you wearing?

We are well into the spring season with summer right around the corner. It’s a time of frolicking, flirting, and fun. You’re ready to put exams behind you and take on the changing season, but is your wardrobe ready?

Interpol’s hollow instrumentation leaves much to be desired

The first time I listened to Interpol’s “Turn on the Bright Lights” I was heavily repelled by their easy going, “minimal” sound. Jordan Livermon, one of this year’s six graduating dance majors, has been dancing since the age of four. After speaking with her it was obvious that her love and passion for dance would take her to amazing places, whether it be in the spotlight or pulling the strings from off stage.

No man could save Diesel’s new flick

Angelina Jolie shouts out from Sri Lanka

Angelina Jolie is a mom, a sex symbol, an actress and a video game heroine. As she prepares for the release of her new sequel, “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life,” she took the time to speak with myself and a phone line full of other student journalists straight from Sri Lanka.

1984 revisited

During my freshman year here at VCU I had to read George Orwell’s classic “1984” for my utopian fiction class. At the time I was willing to dismiss the notion of an all-encompassing police state as science fiction. After all, with all of the freedoms we enjoy as American citizens, the idea is rather alien, and besides 1984 had came and went without such drastic measures being put into place by our government.
