SARS reaches 18 countries Severe acute respiratory syndrome has been reported in 18 countries. As of Saturday, 2,416 cases and 89 deaths have been attributed to the disease. More than 100 cases have been reported in the United States. Nearly all of the patients had recently traveled to Asia, where the illness originated.

Brain freeze, parking and 1000 words in picture form

Dear Bob, I appreciate your words of advice. You’ve been of much aid to me and my questioning mind. Hey bud, I have another question for you if you wouldn’t mind answering it. It is the following: What is the deal with “brain freeze?” What are the physiological occurences during such an episode? “Brain freeze” is of course the affliction that many of us are familiar with, when you are eating ice cream too quickly and in the nasal/forehead area there begins a feeling of excrutiating pain.

Men’s Tennis ranked 15th nationally For two consecutive weeks, Men’s Tennis at VCU has been ranked No. 15 nationally in the Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings. At the time of the last poll, the Rams were 18-3 for the season. The last time the team performed they came up with a 7-0 win against Colorado.

‘Punk’d’ Ashton Kutcher loves naked men. To prove this, he got one of his cronies, Dax, to walk around naked in a store where Jessica Alba (“Dark Angel”) was shopping. At first she was amused, but when he started going on about being European and doing high-kicks she couldn’t help rolling her eyes.

‘Elephant’ proves to be a mammoth success

The White Stripes could have easily released a disc of uninspired, radio-friendly tracks following the critically acclaimed “White Blood Cells” to cash in on their recent rise to fame. Instead, they continue to challenge themselves as musicians, and the result is “Elephant”: a 14-track musical revolution that, for a band that has been embraced by MTV and alternative rock stations across the country, is surprisingly noncommercial.

“The Wedding Singer” has to be Adam Sandler’s best comedy because it has his specific brand of humor with more great songs, unforgettable fashions and ’80’s references than any other movie. Sandler stars as sweet Robbie Hart, who has recently been jilted at the alter and has a hard time going back to singing at weddings.
