ICA designates Reynolds gallery following $3 million in project donations on her behalf
The VCU Institute for Contemporary Art announced this month that one of the museum’s first-floor galleries will be named after Beverly Reynolds to honor the $3 million donated to the ICA on her behalf.
ICA announces curator, still under construction
Although the VCU Institute for Contemporary Art still looks like a heap of rubble at the intersection of Belvidere and Broad, the museum announced earlier this month that Lauren Ross has been chosen as curator, and will begin her new position Oct. 6.
Credit line to fund campus construction projects
The Board of Visitors approved a line of credit for up to $60 million that will allow the university to get bids from financial institutions to fund three projects on campus: the Institute for Contemporary Art, the new basketball training facility and renovations for Sanger Hall.

ICA debuts first exhibit at Fall Line Fest

Institute for Contemporary Art raises more than $23 Million

Scheduled to open in the Spring of 2015, the ICA has raised $23.5 million to date. The ICA estimates the total project to cost $50 million, which includes $35 million for construction and $15 million for the endowment campaign, according to ICA spokesperson Carrie Culpepper.
