A trio of environmental activists opposed to the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline in western Virginia confronted Gov. Terry McAuliffe during his appearance Wednesday at a public forum on climate change.
I will not support the risk that the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline brings. The pipeline is far more detrimental than supporters think. It will carry natural gas to Virginia and a better environment and economy should come along with it. However, the natural gas pipeline will also bring new hazards to be wary of in our state.
Finals have come. It’s the moment when most students are packing their stuff back up and going home to spend the summer with long-lost friends and family. Those who are staying in Richmond, however, will get to experience plenty of activities that are unavailable during the fall and winter months.
