Advising. It’s a word that pretty much every student at VCU dreads. But why? Why is it that one simple word holds the power to strike fear into the hearts of VCU students campus wide? Because of one plain, yet obvious, fact: the academic advising department, to put it nicely, sucks.
Both Israelis and Palestinians are entitled to live with dignity, security and liberty. Only an extremist would disagree with this position. Hamas political chief Khaled Meshaal is a good example of such an extremist. Meshaal’s agenda of an Islamic religious state over all of Palestine is unfair not only for Jewish Israelis but for Christian Palestinians as well.
The Virginia Marriage Amendment: On Tuesday, the SGA sponsored a debate on the VA marriage amendment in the Richmond Salons. We had a fantastic turnout! The debate was so successful that it was covered by the local news. The School of Mass Communications is having another debate on this topic 4 p.
Richmond, with its interesting opportunities and activities at all times of the day, offers students of varying likes and attitudes a wide range of things to do. From downtown to the Fan, whether it’s a restaurant, a club, a concert or an art exhibit – there’s something for everyone.
Election season is now in full swing in our state and also here at our university. Last week, the SGA Elections Committee successfully conducted its fall student Senate elections. We had around 50 candidates run for 25 seats. The results of the elections can be found at www.
