Crime Alert: Incident of Indecent Exposure

This morning, the VCU Police Department alerted all students and staff of an incident involving a report of indecent exposure.

At 1:15 a.m., a man appeared from between two houses and exposed himself to the victim, who was walking on the 1500 block of Hanover Avenue. The victim then proceeded to run away and the suspect soon began to follow and chase after. When a nearby bystander noticed and appeared before the scene, the suspect then stop chasing and disappeared.

When the VCU PD arrived on the scene, they searched the area intently and have increased patrols in the area throughout the day and night. The Richmond Police Department were also notified of the incident.

The suspect’s description is a white male, wearing black clothing and a black baseball cap. He is described as 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and in his early 20s.
