Cross Country teams sprint to the finish line
VCU’s men’s and women’s cross country teams collectively started their 2014-15 season on the right track, both placing first overall in the Virginia State XC Invitational, the first meet of the season.
Men’s golf open season
VCU men’s golf team took part in the Gopher Invitational this past weekend to kick off their 2014-15 season. The three round Invitational was played Sept. 7-8, and was hosted by the University of Minnesota at Windsong Farm Golf Club. The Rams finished ninth in the tournament with a score of 862.

Slam Nahuatl, a VCU student poetry slam group, spearheaded a silent demonstration last Tuesday. mourning the death of Mike Brown. The group began its demonstration at about 1 p.m. in the compass on the Monroe Park campus. The event lasted for about an hour.
Va. budget hacks into VCU’s funds
