ALERT: Second robbery off campus

VCU students were alerted by email of an off-campus burglary that occurred at approximately 10:10 p.m. on March 24.
VCU Alert sent the email, on Tuesday midnight, that a robbery had occurred in the 1000 block of W. Franklin St.
The victim reported walking eastbound in the 1000 block of W. Franklin St. as the suspects were walking westbound. The male suspect then pulled her to the ground by grabbing her hair and demanded she take off her backpack.
The male suspect was described as a 6-foot-1 African American male wearing a gray hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes. The suspect was also in the company of three African American females whom the victim was unable to describe.
The three suspects were last seen fleeing the scene westbound from Franklin Street toward Ryland Street. The backpack was recovered emptied of its contents.
Richmond Police are investigating the crime and have increased their presence in the area.
