VCU reported on Saturday an armed robbery off campus at 815 W. Clay St., in the Carver neighborhood.
Two suspects approached the victims near the intersection of Goshen and Clay Street. One suspect used a silver handgun, and robbed the victims of a backpack and a wallet. The suspects fled south on Goshen Street. The robbery was reported at 3:20 a.m.
One suspect is described as a 6-foot-2 black male in his mid-20s with a cross tattoo under his left eye. The suspect wore a red hat and a green Army jacket. The second suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 black male in his mid-20s, who wore grey sweat pants and a black sweat shirt.
Police reported no injuries.
The university reported the robbery on the VCU alerts web page, and no email or text message was sent to students.
Richmond Police are investigating the incident.
