Andrew Kearns
AFO | Graphic Design
Having gotten a firm handle on the project, critique and repeat cycle of Art Foundations, Andrew Kearns is currently preparing to take on his first round of studio art finals. In his Space Research class, Kearns’ final project will take place in the woodshop, which is a requirement for all AFO students at some point in the studio course. His Drawing studio final is completely open in terms of concept. “Right now I’m trying to wade through that vast world of ideas inside my head,” Kearns said of the freedom accompanying the assignment. “Aka none at all.”
Brooke Marsh
AFO | Photography
Art Foundations student Brooke Marsh is currently experiencing a period of calm in her academic life. After finishing her previous project, Marsh has yet to receive a new assignment from her Time Studio class, one of her two primary studio classes. On Nov. 6, Marsh voted in her first election, traveling to Dominion Place with a friend to cast her ballot. Later that night, Marsh participated in the celebrations on Broad Street that occurred as a result of Obama’s re-election.
