Anyways, as members of those on the VCU men’s basketball beat, we’d like to think we know a deal amount the team’s third-year head coach, Shaka Smart. However, we didn’t have a flipping clue before last night’s 61-49 victory over Hofstra that Coach was such a big fan of rapper Jay-Z’s music label, Rocafella Records, that he would throw up the music label’s hand signal– The Roc– right in the midst of an offensive possession for his team.

Okay, okay: There’s a high chance he’s calling a play of some sort in actuality, rather than signaling his show of support to a rap label in the middle of a basketball game.

However, a brother can hope. Can’t he?
