MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Five runners set personal bests at the 35th annual Lehigh University Brooks Paul Short Run this past Friday. The top Ram was junior Piotr Dybas (Jaslo, Poland). He finished with a time of 24:56, almost a minute better than his previous best.

Five runners set personal bests at the 35th annual Lehigh University Brooks Paul Short Run this past Friday. The top Ram was junior Piotr Dybas (Jaslo, Poland). He finished with a time of 24:56, almost a minute better than his previous best. Senior Jay Wyss (Richmond/J.R. Tucker), senior Joey Wingo (Richmond/Lee-Davis), freshman Tyler Simmons (Woodbridge/Osbourne Park) and sophomore John Vial (Glen Allen/Hermitage) also ran personal bests. Wyss ran a 25:02. Wingo ran a 25:50, Simmons ran a 26:48 and Vial finished with a time of 28:30. The Rams’ next meet will be the William and Mary Invitational on Oct. 18.
GOLF
VCU finished tied for seventh with Iowa at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic this past Tuesday. The Rams finished with a 52-over-par 892. Arkansas won the event with a 23-over-par 863. Junior Rafael Campos (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Baldwin School of PR) shot the best score for the Rams. He finished tied for fifth with a 5-over-par 215. Juniors Vincent Nadeau (Penhook/Purdue University) and Lanto Griffin (Blacksburg/Blacksburg) finished tied for 27th at 13-over-par. The Rams’ next competition will be the Landfall Intercollegiate starting Oct. 31 and ending Nov. 2.
MEN’S SOCCER
Junior Forsan Asad-Radwan (Amman, Jordan/James River) was named to the TopDrawSoccer.com National Team of the Week this past Monday. Asad-Radwan earned the recognition after scoring two goals in the 3-0 win over Hofstra this past Saturday. Asad-Radwan chipped in the Rams’ only goal in a 1-0 win Wednesday at JMU.
