School shooting in Pennsylvania A 14-year-old boy shot and killed his principal and then himself Thursday at a Red Lion, Pa. junior high school. About 350 students were in the school’s cafeteria before classes began when the shootings occurred. Police found two guns in the boy’s possession.

Graduate students showcase talents, scholarly works
With the leadership of the Graduate Student Association, the Student Commons Capital Ballroom recently became transformed into an art gallery showcasing the research and scholarly works of more than a dozen graduate students.
“It was the opportunity for our graduate students to showcase their research or scholarly works and some of their artwork,” said Douglas Boudinot, dean of the School of Graduate Studies.
Greek organizations come together to raise money for charity, scholarship
The end of the semester usually becomes a busy time for VCU students. Yet the Greek community found time to support some philanthropies, especially the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., which last week sponsored its annual step show. Marquis Jordan, the group’s president, said the step show, sponsored in memory of the Sigma’s late fraternity brother Larry Brown, has been an annual event since 1993.
