The tailgating theme this year is “Austin, City without Limits.” For those who register by April 11, many prizes are available in exchange for a little creativity. The actual tailgating party takes place April 12 at noon and eight winners will receive silver trophies. Corporate and individual awards will be given out as well.

As usual, the weekend will be full of fun, friends, good food and of course horse racing. There will be six races both jumping and flat.

Some of the entertainment will include the Reverb Rockets who describe themselves as “Surf-a-Billy” their unique mix of rock-a-billy and surf style music. Also present will be the Aerial Adventures Skydiving Team doing a patriotic performance. The parade of carriages will continue the tradition of showing the fans what tailgating was all about in the 1800s and there will be so much Texan-style food that you’ll be busting at the seams before you can say “tarnation!”
