SGA spearheads router replacement project
VCU Technology Services and the Student Government Association are updating and replacing VCU’s aging wireless access point infrastructure to make internet access faster and stronger for both the Monroe Park and MCV campuses.
Student turnout drops 30 percent in SGA elections
Voter turnout for Fall 2013 Monroe Park Student Government Association elections fell by 30 percent compared to last semester’s elections. During the 2013 Spring SGA elections, 1,465 students cast their votes. This semester, voter turnout fell to 1,011.
SGA elections scheduled this month
The elections committee of VCU’s Monroe Park student government association expects voter turnout to increase with this coming fall’s SGA elections despite not making any changes to the way they advertise the elections to students.
SGA funds Bhangra team off-campus practice space
The SGA passed a bill granting the Bhangra dance team $3,000 to fund an off-campus practice space, though other teams are still without space.
SGA postpones dance clubs bill
The SGA postponed the presentation and overall vote of the Bhangra dance club bill that would bring nearly $3,000 to student dance clubs to pay for private practice spaces off campus on Monday, Oct. 7.
