Seniors graduating on May 9 and planning to enter the professional workforce after graduation are looking at an increased national hiring rate.
The flooding of the third-level basement of Sanger Hall late last year resulted in about $6 million in damages, but because Virginia public institutions are self-insured for damages up to $4 million, VCU’s private insurance company will foot the remainder of the bill.
The VCU administration is no longer allowing student dance organizations to use the Franklin Street Gym as a practice space, said George Pottanat, SGA chairman of information and technology for the Monroe Park Campus.
Despite performing with two bands, crafting mind-bending visual art installations and working with local multimedia powerhouse The Subterranea Collective, VCU senior Brian Dove had more to creatively express.
The Writing Center’s new branch opened in in the Tompkins-McCaw Library on August 27. The branch is currently on a trial run and will be operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m.
