VCU dance Spring Informal graces theater stage

This Saturday, VCU’s dance department opened its Grace Street Theatre stage to student-created work. The pieces were choreographed outside of class time and without faculty input or adjudication.

Many of the choreographers and performers in the Spring Informal are underclassmen.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs show their bones

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs kicked off their World Tour April 3, with a spectacular show before a sold-out crowd at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 club.

The band played a bulk of the songs from their new album “Show Your Bones” but still found time to work in some old favorites during their one-hour set.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, singer Adam Insteford and drummer Dave Vazzano formed 7 Point 9 in 1995.
